Brian Graham was born in Glace Bay, Canada in 1951. In 1973 he completed
his Bachelor of Arts degree at St. Francis Xavier University, Nova
Scotia. For the next two years he worked on oil rigs in Northern Canada
and as a carpenter. In 1984 he moved to New York City, pursuing his
interest in photography. He worked as Robert Frank's assistant and
printer for more than 10 years and began his work with Allen Ginsberg,
printing his archive chronicling the "Beats" years. From 1989 to now
he photographed in West Africa, Peru, Portugal and Germany.
Brian Graham's photographs have been exhibited in New York, Berlin (argus
fotokunst) and Lisboa.
